Sheboygan A's Baseball

Successful and Embarrassed on the Same Night

Posted: June 18, 2010

The Sheboygan A’s were successful in their hopes to raise money to help a dear friend on Thursday night.

Even if the evening didn’t unfold as originally planned.

Wildwood Baseball Park was filled and a bunch of money was raised for Mark Reinemann on his benefit night. A’s general manager Denny Moyer will announce the total amount of money raised at a later date.

But a lot of first time fans there to see a ball game saw no ball game, as De Pere failed to show.

So with the help of the Sheboygan American Legion team, the A’s improvised some entertainment for the fans. The Post 83 American Legion baseball team was in attendance to help honor Reinemann, a volunteer assistant coach at South. The team saved the day.

The two teams held an informal workout and almost everybody had a good time.
Moyer extended an apology to those who attended for what happened.

The A’s are out of town over the weekend and return to Wildwood Park next Wednesday night.
