A’s offering internships for 2013 season

Posted: January 1, 2013

The Sheboygan Athletic Club is offering work/study internships in five areas: marketing, sports management, hospitality/food service, graphic design/web tech and communications/broadcasting. Some fields will require more than one intern.

These unpaid work/study opportunities (with the exception of hospitality/food service and communications/broadcasting) can be implemented this semester.

The Sheboygan Athletic Club operates the Sheboygan A’s, a semi-pro baseball program that operates a ball club which plays a 55-60 game schedule in three leagues, raises funds for implementation of that program in addition to a number of youth programs, park maintenance and improvements and a variety of other community programs.

Interns will work under the direction and supervision of the Sheboygan Athletic Club General Manager and Board of Directors officers and committee chairs of their specific areas. They will be expected to attend club and special meetings pertaining to their work, reporting to their supervisor on a regular basis. For the most part, the worksite will be Wildwood Baseball Park, although meetings and various assignments will require access to independent transportation.
