Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets Return to Sheboygan

Posted: February 24, 2013

Milwaukee’s premier doo-wop group, The Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets©, launch their retro-romp into the stratosphere with their salute to the music of the 50’s and 60’s with a red-hot show, Always in Style.

The show will take place at Sheboygan North High School’s Auditorium on Saturday night, April 13. It is being sponsored by the Sheboygan Athletic Club in conjunction with North High’s Northern Lights, the school’s popular show choir that will open the show at 7 p.m.

The Four Guyz are thrilled with the reception of the Always in Style show and will present it along with some of the classic Four Guyz bits that fans always love.

The Guyz’ hyper-velocity musical cabaret keeps the fusion of history and harmony alive. High-powered with incredible vocal performances, energetic choreography and clever comedy schtick, they deliver hit after hit from The Four Aces, The Four Lads, The Four Freshmen, The Crewcuts and many other amazing musical surprises in this smash show.

The Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets will put pep in your step and song in your heart!

Based in Milwaukee, the Four Guyz are high tenor Reginald T. Kurschner, first tenor Don Lobacz, baritone Tommy Lueck and bass Aaron Schmidt. All have substantial theater credits.

Kurschner has been performing throughout the Milwaukee area in many venues. His credits include Harlequin in “Triumph of Love” at the Skylight Opera Theatre, Will Parker in “Oklahoma!” with Milwaukee Musical Theater, and Emory in “The Boys in the Band” with Bialystock and Bloom. When he is not on the boards, he can be found in the back of the house directing and choreographing with school, college and community theatre productions. He is responsible for most of the Four Guyz’ choreography.

Lobacz describes himself as a singer who acts on the side. His credits include the Baker in “Into the Woods,” the Lover-Magician in “Carnival” and the featured performer in “The World Goes Round” at the Broadway Baby Theatre. He is the arranger of most of the music the Four Guyz perform.

Lueck’s credits include Seymour in “Little Shop of Horrors,” Puck in Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” and Joseph in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” He is also the front man vocalist in Milwaukee’s award winning big band, Swing Nouveau. Props and costumes are his Four Guyz’ niches.

On stage since he was a child, Schmidt has most recently focused on backstage work as a lighting and sound designer for several theatre companies in the Milwaukee area. His credits include Finch in “How to Succeed…”, Mayor Shinn in “The Music Man”, and the company of “Oh, Calcutta”. His design work includes “Little Shop of Horrors”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Pippen”, and “Romeo and Juliet”. The Four Guyz are supported by drums, bass and piano.

The Athletic Club sponsored the popular Four Guyz in 2009 and 2010 and are repeating the promotion in an effort to raise money for its Wildwood Rally Park Improvement Fund. The club has spent over $1 million in improvements and maintenance to the city ball park and is in the process of developing two more major projects – a new scoreboard and a new lighting system.

The park is used by the Sheboygan A’s, North and South High Schools and the Sheboygan American Legion teams.

Advance tickets selling for $20 are available at Festival Foods, Trilling True Value Hardware and at North High School.
