Get to Know Your Sheboygan A’s: Nate Heili

Heili appeared in one game for the A’s last season, but
showed promising talent as he had two hits, two runs, and an RBI. This season,
Heili has been more of a mainstay at shortstop, while batteling a hand injury.

Where are you from?  – Sheboygan Falls, WI

What school do you
attend?
– UW- La Crosse

What do you enjoy
most about baseball?
– It has always been a part of my family, I have an
older brother (Cole) who plays baseball, and it is something I love to do. My
mom and dad have always supported me along the way. I just love playing the
game.

What are you
individual goals for the season? –
Become a better baseball player overall,
and get more AB’s and reps. (Heili was unable to play for UWL due to an elbow
injury)

What are you
expectations for the team this year? –
Hopefully to win many games and to
have some fun. Let Sheboygan know that there is still a team in town, we want to
bring in big crowds and have a good time.

Who is you favorite
professional baseball player? –
Derek Jeter, he is a great individual
overall, on and off the field.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
