A’s Blank West Allis; Finish Second in WSL

The Sheboygan A’s scored early and rode the back of Derek Loomans to a 6-0 Wisconsin State League victory over the West Allis Nationals at Wildwood Park Thursday night.

The 6-0 win clinched second in the league for the A’s. The A’s are 19-10  with one game remaining. Overall the team is 35-16 for the season.

Little Chute is in town tonight for an exhibition matchup before the A’s travel to Appleton Saturday to wrap up the regular season. The Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League playoffs begin next week.

Loomans finished with a six hitter, allowing two walks and striking out one.  A’s scored three in the second with Trevor Cho’s 2-run double the big hit. Tyler Agard racked up two RBIs on three hits. He singled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings. The A’s also scored runs on RBI doubles by Harry Steldt and Trevor Cho.

Tonight is Fan Appreciation Night at the park, with extra items being given to fans throughout the game.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
