A’s Hosting NCBA Playoffs This Weekend

The District 5 National Club Baseball Association Division II Playoffs will be held at Wildwood Park this weekend. The winner of the tournament goes to the NCBA Division II World Series at Pittsburg, Kansas later this month.

The tournament is once again being hosted by the Sheboygan A’s and marks the fifth year of play at Wildwood Baseball Park. Action starts Friday at 4 PM with number three seed South Dakota State playing number two seed Windsor at 4 PM. At 7 PM, Northern Illinois State takes on number one seed Wisconsin.

Games continue Saturday at 9 AM, 12 noon and 3 PM. The championship game is Sunday at 9 AM with a noon game to follow if necessary. The tournament is a double-elimination format.

Passes for each day of the tournament are $5. Games will be streamed live on SheboyganBaseball.org.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
