Former A’s player, Tyler Agard, headed to Chapel Hill Regional Championship

Chapel Hill N.C. – After a long wait, Davidson baseball is still alive in their first ever NCAA postseason season appearance and are making headlines.

On the team is former Sheboygan A’s utility player, Tyler Agard. 

Agard is a senior at Davidson and played for the Sheboygan A’s for the 2014 and 2016 seasons. Agard did it all for the A’s, from catching, playing infield and pitching. Agard has added outfield responsibilities to his resume for theCats.

Friday Davidson beat No. 2 National seed North Carolina 8-4 and Florida Gulf Coast, 2-1, on Saturday.

Davidson improves to a program-best 34-24 overall and reaches the Chapel Hill Regional Championship.

The Cats will play Florida Gulf Coast today at 5 pm in the championship. The game can be watched on ESPN.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
