A’s Bounce Back With Victory Over Giants

SHEBOYGAN, WI – Monday night the A’s took an L but Tuesday night bounced back.

After a tough loss Monday night to the Menasha Macs the A’s pulled out a big 9-3 victory over the Oshkosh Giants.

Derek Loomans took the win pitching five innings, allowing zero runs, five hits, striking out two and walking one.

The A’s scored one run in the first and seconding inning as well as two in the fifth.

The Oshkosh Giants came back within one run in the top of the seventh scoring three runs to trail 4-3.

But, the A’s answered back scoring two in the bottom of the seventh and three in the eighth.

The A’s collected 12 hits with Zac Cain and Harry Steldt each managing two hits to lead the team.

The A’s are now 2-0 in the Wisconsin State League and 6-1 on the season.

The Sheboygan A’s are on the road Thursday in West Allis to take on the Nationals but will be back home Saturday to host the Kenosha Kings in a doubleheader. It will be Denny and Donna Moyer Appreciation Night.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
