A’s Pull Off Two Big Wins On Special Day

SHEBOYGAN, WI – Things were not looking good for the A’s in game one against the Kenosha Kings.

The Kings led most of the game 3-1 after scoring three runs in the first inning.

But, the A’s managed to come back and tie the game heading into the seventh at 3-3.

Hunter Berry proved instrumental in the bottom of the seventh hitting a single scoring one run giving the A’s a 4-3 victory.

Tanner Reklaitis earned the win for the Sheboygan A’s pitching two innings, allowing no runs or hits, striking out four and walking one.

Brandon Jeffery took the loss for the Kings allowing two runs and two hits.

Between games, Denny and Donna Moyer were appreciated in a ceremony celebrating their accomplishments in baseball.

The Moyers were honored with a plaque, a street named after them and June 10th now being known as Denny and Donna Moyer day.

The A’s kept the momentum going in game two taking down the Kings in six innings, with a final score of 11-1.

The A’s big inning came in the sixth where they scored five runs.

Jake Arens and Hunter Berry each had a single, while Adam Ryan hit a double.

Taylor Schwarz earned the win for the A’s pitching six innings, surrendering one run, two hits and striking out four.

Jeremy Souffer took the loss for the Kings going four innings, surrendering three runs, five hits and striking out two.

The A’s are currently tied for first in the Wisconsin State League with the Lombard Orioles.
