Schwarz blanks Menasha

SHEBOYGAN, WI- Taylor Schwarz celebrated his 28th birthday in style by pitching a 3-hit shutout against the Menasha Macs on Monday night.
   
The A’s took the lead early and never looked back. After the A’s scored at least one run in the first three innings, the A’s found themselves with a 6-0 lead. Josh Moses’ hit a 3-run home run in the second inning, which was the games big blow after which the Macs could not recover.

The A’s also lead the Macs with hits as they were able to collect 11, while the Macs were only able to rack up three. Mitchell Sutton, Chris Saltzman and Moses lead the A’s, each accumulating multiple hits on the night.

Schwarz took the win on the mound for the A’s with striking out eight and walking four after pitching nine innings. Aaron Langdon took the loss for the Macs after only pitching three innings.

This 8-0 win puts the A’s at 6-3 in the Northeastern Wisconsin League, while the loss drops Menasha to 2-2.

The A’s hit the field once again tonight as they host De Pere at Wildwood Park at 7:30 in a Wisconsin State League battle.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
