A’s Double Up League-Leading Green Bay 8-4

Posted: July 14, 2017

SHEBOYGAN, WI- If their performances on Wednesday and Thursday this week were any indication, the Sheboygan A’s might just be ready to make a move.

The A’s trailed 6-0 early in the game at Appleton Wednesday but they didn’t quit. They battled back hard only to lose 8-7. But the fight indicated that the recently lost mental approach may have been found.

Last night all the aspects were evident as the A’s beat league-leading Green Bay storm, 8-4. They could have hung their heads after the Storm took the lead in the first inning but instead, they answered back, and fought for the win.

The A’s banged out 11 hits and got good starting pitching and they played outstanding defense, particularly middle infielders Hunter Berry and Grant Kosanke. Kosanke, in fact, had the best game of any A’s shortstop in recent memory.

Harry Steldt had two doubles and went 3-for-4 at the plate. Mitch Sutton also added to the team’s offensive efforts by adding two singles. Derek Loomans got the win, Aiden Wojciehowski the save.

The A’s play Rubicon tonight at 7:30 in the opening game of the Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic
