Dodgers Get 2-1 Victory Over A’s in De Pere

Posted: June 12, 2018

De Pere, WI – The Sheboygan A’s and De Pere Dodgers were both strong on the pitcher’s mound Monday night, but it was the Dodgers who left with a 2-1 victory, sending the A’s home disappointed.

De Pere jumped out to an early lead when Hunter Staniske’s sac fly scored one run for De Pere.

The A’s tied it up in the fourth with a Ryan Fields double, scoring TD Walker. However the tie game wouldn’t last long, as De Pere pushed across what would be the game-winning run in the bottom half of the inning.

John VanderPloeg was the tough luck loser, has he pitched six strong innings, striking out nine.

The A’s are back home tonight for the first time in nearly a week. Tonight is Midwest Communications Night, and BINGO Tuesday. The radio stations from Midwest Communications will be in the house with prize giveaways and ticket giveaways. Fans can also buy BINGO cards for $1 for a shot at winning half the pot. Game time is 7:30 PM.
