A’s Top Macs 5-1

SHEBOYGAN – Taylor Schwarz pitched eight solid innings to lead the Sheboygan A’s to a victory over the Menasha Macs in a Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League game Friday.

The final score was 5-1.

The Macs had nine hits, all singles, and Schwarz struck out seven batters. Griffin Jack had three hits for the Macs.

Mark Wanner led the A’s offensively, going 2-4 with an RBI.

The Macs scored their only run in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Pierce Blohowiak, which scored Mike Berben.

The A’s (16-8 overall, 7-6 WSL, 5-2 NEWBL) will play on the road Saturday at 3 PM in an Wisconsin State League doubleheader against the West Allis Nationals.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
