Kings Shoot Down A’s Saturday

Posted: July 30, 2018

Flying high with two dramatic one-run wins last week, the Sheboygan A’s were shot out of the sky by the Kenosha Kings Saturday.

Scores at Wildwood Park were 11-8 and 6-3.

The losses drop the A’s to 13-15 in the Wisconsin State League and 31-22 overall.

The A’s wrap up the Wisconsin State League schedule with games tonight at De Pere and Tuesday (Fan Appreciation Night) at home against West Allis. The outcomes will determine the seedings for the State League bracket of the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament that will be held Aug 1-3. That survivor will qualify for the double-elimination portion of the tournament Aug 4-5 in West Bend.

Then will come the Northeastern Wisconsin League playoffs in Menasha.  On Aug. 7 they will play Green Bay at 6:30 and Menasha at 8:30, and then on Aug 9 they return to Menasha to play Appleton at 6:30.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
