Posted: August 2, 2018

Sheboygan, WI – The A’s are climbing up the ladder.

With an 8-1 victory over Burlington, the A’s have advanced to the next round of the step-ladder regional in the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament. They will now take on the West Allis Nationals tonight in West Allis.

Down 1-0 after the first, a pair of sacrifice flys and a single by TD Walker put the A’s back up 3-1 after two.

The A’s would follow that up with a Harry Steldt home run in the third, Cole Miklavic scoring on a wild pitch in the fourth, and a three-run homer by Chris Saltzman in the fifth.

Eric Schmitz went the distance on the mound, striking out 10 and giving up just three hits.

The A’s announced prior to the game that they have surpassed 10,000 in total attendance for the season – the first time the team has done so.
