A’s Pickup Weekend Sweep of Burlington

The Sheboygan A’s picked up two Wisconsin State League victories over Burlington Sunday to improve to 13-8 overall and 10-5 in the Wisconsin State League.

Elliott Danhoff and Kyle Peterson combined to limit Burlington to just three hits in the opener. Danhoff struck out nine in his five innings. Peterson entered with the score at 3-1 and pitched two perfect innings to get a save.

Ross Krist was 3-for-3 with a double to lead A’s hitting. Cole Miklavcic and Mark Wanner both hit doubles.

Josh Gates had two hits and Drew Lechnir had a double in game two.

The 2019 season presented by Meijer resumes tonight, with the A’s hosting the Menasha Macs in a Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League matchup. The A’s are currently 2-1 in the NEWBL.
