A’s Open Tuesday After Weekend Split

Posted: June 28, 2020

The Sheboygan A’s will take a 2-2 record into their Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League opener Tuesday after a tremendous pitching performance by Brad Rindfleisch gave them a doubleheader split in Chicago Saturday night.

Rindfleisch threw a 3-hitter at the Chicago Clout and struck out 13 in the 7-inning contest for a 4-1 win. Jeremy Endreas drove in two runs with a single and a double in his A’s debut in that game. The A’s fell behind early and despite out-hitting the Clout 7-5, their comeback effort fell short in the first game as they lost, 5-4.

The A’s host the Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons Tuesday night in a game that counts in the standings of both the Wisconsin State League and the Northeastern Wisconsin League. Eric Schmitz is scheduled to start for the A’s. As part of the A’s effort to comply with COVID-19 guidelines, only season ticket holders, Sheboygan Athletic Club members, and families of A’s players will be admitted to Wildwood Park for the 7:30 p.m. contest.

Guidelines for Wildwood Park can be found here. The 2020 season is presented by Meijer.
