A’s Overpower Greater Green Bay 11-2

GREEN BAY – Scoring in bunches and getting outstanding pitching, the Sheboygan A’s ran up an 11-2 victory over the Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons at Green Bay’s Joannes Park Wednesday night.

The win was the A’s fourth straight and 13th in their last 16 games.

Jacoby Endreas led the A’s with a pair of walks, a single, double and grand slam home run. Ross Krist drove in three runs with a pair of singles.

The A’s used six walks to score four runs in the fifth inning, Endreas’ slam for four more in the seventh and doubles by Endreas and Shane Ryan and base hits by Jake Falish and Krist to get three more in the ninth.

Eric Schmitz gave the A’s another great start, striking out 13 in his 7-inning stint. He scattered seven hits. Josh Gates and Brad Rindfleisch were effective in one-inning relief roles.

The A’s host Menasha tonight and travel to Burlington to play West Allis Friday night. The club is now 17-10 overall and 11-4 in the Wisconsin State League.

Due to increased travel restrictions due to Covid-19 in the city of Chicago, this Sunday’s doubleheader at home against the Chicago Clout has been cancelled.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
