Legends Hold Down A's

For the second time in a week a solid Appleton Legends ballclub hammered a short-handed Sheboygan A team.

This time it was a 13-2 7-inning mercy rule victory.

Appleton took a 3-0 lead in the second inning, but Josh Moses’ 2-run home run made it 3-2

That was it for the A’s as Appleton finished with 2-2-6 run innings and shut out the A’s the rest of the way.

Tonight the A’s take on Greater Green Bay at Wildwood Park. The game counts in both the NEWBL Tournament standings as well as the Wisconsin State League regular season standings. If the A's win, they will secure second place in the Wisconsin State League. If Greater Green Bay wins, they will win the NEWBL Round Robin Tournament.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 41 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels). All Sheboygan A's home games are played at Wildwood Baseball Park in Sheboygan. Connect with the A's on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
