A'S CRUISE PAST LITTLE CHUTE

LITTLE CHUTE - Another stellar pitching performance put the Sheboygan A’s at 4-0 in this young season after a 10-0 victory over the Little Chute River Bandits Wednesday night.
Greg Blohowiak, Derrick Pankow and Justin Hunt combined for a 3-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts.
Phil Kramsky enjoyed a 4-for-5 night, Kreston Albright and Tim Patzman had 2-run doubles and Nohl Depies and Ryan Schmitz both had two hits. Albright also finished with two hits.
The A’s took a 1-0 lead in the second on hits by Depies and Kramsky and walks to Mitchell Gardner and Matt Schilter, and made it 2-0 in the third when Patzman came around after a walk, stolen base, wild pitch and David Novak’s RBI infield out.
In the fourth Depies and Kramsky led off with singles, Gardner successfully bunted them up and Albright delivered a long 2-out, 2-run double for a 4-0 lead. After he came in on a passed ball the game was never in question.
Patzman’s 2-run double highlighted a 4-run eighth that made the game a runaway.
Blohowiak started and went the first five for the win. He fanned 10, walked four and gave up only two hits. Pankow pitched two perfect innings, striking out four, and Hunt pitched the eighth after which the game was stopped by the mercy rule.
The A’s, 4-0 in the Northeastern Wisconsin League, now turn to Wisconsin State League play as they travel to Kenosha for their WSL opener tonight. Schmitz is scheduled to start.
