SHEBOYGAN COMES FROM BEHIND TO STEAL ONE FROM KENOSHA

2008-06-26

The Sheboygan A's rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning Thursday night to stun the Kenosha Kings, 7-6, in a Wisconsin State League game at Wildwood Baseball Park.

Lucas Wilsing's two-run double with one out lifted the A's to victory, improving them to 17-7 on the season.

Sheboygan led off the ninth inning with two walks and then had back-to-back bunts, the last one a suicide bunt by Kreston Albright, which scored Schwarz. After a strikeout, Wilsing delivered the game-winning hit.

Lucas Petrie got the victory, pitching two innings of one-run ball in relief of Will Madson, who went seven innings and gave up five earned runs.

Albright had three hits on the day, and Tim Patzman and Wilsing had two apiece.

Weekend plans

The Sheboygan A's have doubleheaders scheduled for Saturday and Sunday against Addison, and special events are planned both days.

Former standout Tim Spiro will be inducted into the A's Hall of Fame on Saturday, and former longtime manager Chuck Zeichert Recognition Day is Sunday.

Saturday's doubleheader starts at 6 p.m. and Sunday's at 1 p.m.
